Creating Extruded solid protrusion in Pro/Engineer Wildfire 3.0

Extrusion is a method of defining three-dimensional geometry by projecting a two-dimensional section at a specified distance normal to the sketching plane.  
 
This tutorial explains how to create an extruded solid. Follow the steps as shown below:  
 
1) Let us open a new part file and start creating a sketch. Click on button in the sketch toolbar to invoke "Circle" command or go to "Sketch>>Circle>>Center and Point" menu and select the command as shown in figure 1. {Follow first 4 steps in "Creating a Sketch - Tutorial for beginners" to learn how to open a new part file.}

2) Let us sketch two circles as shown in figure 2. Don't worry about dimensions as this exercise is just for practicing. When you are finished creating the circles click middle mouse to exit circle command.

3) Now click on button to invoke "Rectangle" command or go to "Sketch>>Rectangle" menu as shown in figure 3.

4) Now let us create a rectangle coinciding both the circles as shown in figure 4. When finished click middle mouse to exit rectangle command.
