In this tutorial you are going to learn to create animated hourglass using photoshop. Follow the steps as shown below: |

| 1) Create a new file as per your choice. Select hourglass from the Custom shape as shown in
Figure 1.

2) Place the image on your layer. Choose the size per your requirement as shown in Figure 2.

3) Select the direct selection tool and select the Inner part of the hourglass. Select the node as shown in
Figure 3 and drag downwards.

4) Using the same tool, select the white shapes in the lower half of the hourglass as shown in
Figure 4.

5) Select the white shape from the lower half using the direct selection tool and delete it. Do the same for the other
white patch as shown in figure 5. {We are doing this because both the white shapes
"the upper half and the lower half" need to be same.}
