6) Now let us tweak the text a bit and place the text in such a way that it will have a 3d effect as shown in figure 6.

7) Let us keep this layer at the top. Then let us duplicate the layer, for that right click on the text layer and click on Duplicate layer {
Duplicating layers is an easy way to copy content within an image or between images. When duplicating layers between images, keep in
mind that the layer's content will appear smaller or larger if it is copied to a file with different resolution. } as shown in
figure 7 or you can press "Ctrl + J". |

8) Now create a new set by clicking the icon as shown in figure 8. |

9) Now place your duplicate layer in the Set by dragging your duplicate layer on to the set as shown in figure 9. |

10) Now let us add Bevel { Bevel adds various combinations of highlights and shadows to a layer.
} and Emboss { Emboss makes a selection appear raised or stamped by converting its fill
color to gray and tracing the edges with the original fill color. Options include an embossing angle (from -360° to lower (stamp) the surface, to +360° to
raise the surface), height, and a percentage (1% to 500%) for the amount of color within the selection. To retain color and detail when embossing, use the
Fade command after applying the Emboss filter. } effect to the duplicate layer. This will help us in achieving the 3D effect. With the duplicated
layer selected, hold shift and press the down arrow 2 times. This will move your text layer down by 20 pixels. Now, hold the alt key and ctrl key and press
the up arrow 19 times. This duplicates each layer, and nudges it up by 1 pixel each time and the resultant image would be as shown in
figure 10. |
