This illustrated step by step tutorial provides instruction on creating a bracket. Follow the steps shown below: 
 
1) Open Inventor as shown in step one to nine in the following link - Core Rod Extension - and sketch two circles and sketch two lines tangential to the circles as shown in Figure 1.

2) Now trim the sketch as shown in Figure 2.

3) Now edit the diameters of the two circles as shown in Figure 3.
