Groove - Tutorial for beginners

This tutorial exercise explains you how to create a Groove on an existing solid body. Follow the steps as shown below:
1) Create a cylinder with dia of 100 mm and 100 mm hieght as shown in
Figure 1
.

2) Create a sketch as shown in
Figure 2
.

3) Now select Groove tool from the toolbar or from
Insert>Sketcher-Based Features>Groove
menu as shown in
Figure 3
and
Figure 4
respectively.

4) When "Groove Definition" dialogue box appears enter the parameters as shown in
Figure 5
.

5) The resultant part will be as shown in
Figure 6
.

6) If you change the First angle to 270 deg the part would be as shown in
Figure 6
.

To know better about the groove tool try to change the parameters and the profile sketch....
