This tutorial exercise provides step by step instruction on how to start a new AutoCAD session.  
 
1) Double click on AutoCAD icon as shown in Figure 1.

2) Now AutoCAD application starts as shown in Figure 2.

3) To save the file after finishing your work select "Save" from file drop down menu as shown in Figure 3.
